Matagorda County Pct 2 Commissioner, Mike Estlinbaum

ANNOUNCEMENT: The day has finally come. Years and years in the works. I had to scrap the original plan and start over. But the day has come. The second bridge on CR 201 in Sargent will be demolished on September 5th (the day after Labor Day). This would not be possible without the help of Drainage District #1. They have stepped up big time! This will cause major traffic issues for a lot of people for 2 or 3 months while this project takes place. All boats that go under that bridge will need to be out before the 5th or they are stuck there until the construction of the new bridge is completed. Please help spread the word. There will be more updates on this as we go forward but I’m confident enough in this date to put it out there. More info to come in the coming days.
